Then, in partnership with the Perugia Olive Oil Institute, he imported and planted 17 varieties of specially selected olives. Of the estate's 200 hectares, 74 hectares are planted with vines and olive trees, with the rest left to nature. Giulio Bertrand passed away in 2018.
