Oenops Wines Dots Limniona 2024
Macedonia, Greece ( 75 cL )
A rare Greek variety revealed with finesse, freshness and depth in the highlands of Thessaly.
Made from 100% Limniona sourced from over 30-year-old vines in Karditsa, Thessaly, DOTS Limniona highlights one of Greece’s most distinctive red varieties. Aromas of cherry and red berries are complemented by hints of gooseberry, acacia and spice. Fresh and fruit-driven on the palate, it combines vibrant acidity with velvety tannins for remarkable balance. Elegant and versatile, it pairs beautifully with roasted poultry and duck, as well as mushrooms, lamb and Mediterranean dishes rich in herbs.
Founded by Nikos Karouzos, Oenops Wines is a Greek winery exploring the richness and diversity of the country’s indigenous grape varieties. Based in Drama, Macedonia, the winery works with partner growers across different regions of Greece to reveal the identity of each grape variety and terroir. Low-intervention winemaking, indigenous yeasts and carefully considered ageing allow Oenops to create vibrant, elegant and authentic wines, with freshness and fruit expression at their core.
